Plant Kindness...The Heartbeat
"Be the change you wish to see in the world,"
Some say Gandhi said this but I have not been able to verify this. Whomever originally stated this was on to something! It became clear to me that we have the chance every morning upon waking and with every breathe we take to Be the change and make a difference in the world. It starts with making a difference within our immediate world for ourselves. Then that action creates an energetic ripple (like a rock thrown in a pond) that goes out further, touching more than just one's self. To be the change means something different for everyone. We all have are own unique gift and path to share with the world. It all starts with how we perceive and interact with our day to day, both internally and the external interaction with the people in our everyday lives. How do you relate and interact with yourself? What thoughts are going on up there? How do you interact with others in your home, at work or out & about? Do you smile everyday, do you tell yourself that life is beautiful even if it feels crappy in the moment? Do you have positive internal chatter or is it negative? The hardest yet most life changing steps to change that internal dialogue : 1. Be mindful of what your chatter is 2. Make the choice to be understanding of the immediate reaction. 3. Choosing not to let it overpower you It's about being mindful of your actions, of taking self-responsibility for what is going on in your world and using resources available to you to Be the changes you wish to see. As we start to make the small changes within our world, there is this accumulative effect that starts to over flow into the greater world around us.This not only infuses other aspects of our lives but starts to invite change in others. And from here Plant Kindness was Born. I see a world where we plant seeds of kindness in our day to day routine which lead to All being able to gather love. Seeds of kindness can be simple or thought out. They are acts of service, gestures of kindness, compassionate thoughts, passionate projects, creative and innovated designs and outreach. A Seed of Kindness, could be smiling to the stranger walking past you. A Seed of Kindness could be holding the door open for the person behind you. A Seed of Kindness could be planting a fruit tree in a community park. A Seed of Kindness could be taking the time out of your busy day to just sit and watch the sunset. A Seed of Kindness could take on many shapes and forms. We are apart of the world we are living and when We ALL are Nourished We ALL are able to BE. Whatever that means for you. "We are the ones we've been waiting for..."Hopi Elder Thank you for taking the time to read! With love, Gabrielle ********************************************************************************** |
